The Nighthawk was spotted driving down the highway at top speed in a stolen fire engine red convertible. He had been in the middle of attempting to help an old woman across the street when some bank robbers had come squealed through the intersection nearly flattening the cute old grandmother. With out a thought to his safety or others the masked avenger had hopped in a near by convertible that was idling at a nearby convenience store. He shouted some witty quip about saving the environment as well as stopping crime and tore off in pursuit of the bank robbers. At this very moment The Nighthawk was closing on the bank robbers white unmarked van, it’s all very cliché; the gunmen were waving Uzis and firing randomly at Georges car as he closed in upon them. The Nighthawk gunned his car’s engine and prepared for the coming impact. The outlaw used the force of the collision to jump from his convertible on to the roof of the speeding van. With the strength of one man who definitely works out at least four times a week and may be no stranger to anabolic steroids The Nighthawk deftly did an amazingly acrobatic roll entering through the side window knocking out the driver of the van and establishing control of the van all in one fluid motion. When realizing what he was up against the remaining bank robber gladly gave himself up to the hands of justice than take on The Nighthawk. It was reported later on that a large amount of the money that was stolen was missing upon the return of it to the bank. The Nighthawk refused to comment on the issue. A few weeks later a major insider fraud scandal broke in the New York Times, it had been occurring in the banks own offices right under the noses of the CEO. Without The Nighhawk’s assistance in recovering the money none of this would ever have been uncovered. It is due to his skills of detection and theft of the dirty money that the crime has come to a public light. On an unrelated story the Children’s Hospital of Manhattan will be opening a new branch this summer, it is expected to be able to facilitate one hundred sick children and is due to an anonymous donation made in the exact amount of what was missing from the bank robbery yesterday. I guess the children of Manhattan have a superhero out there looking over them after all.
